At your time of need, you can rely on our Team Ministers to help you. We lead, or act as celebrants at, Christian Funerals that aim to bring comfort and encouragement to you and all who grieve, while honouring the memory of the departed.

Your loved one does not have to have been a churchgoer, and neither do you, for one of our team to act as Celebrant at the funeral service.

If your loved one lived in the Parish of Morden, then we can help you with the funeral, alongside local Funeral Directors. One of our church ministers will happy to take the funeral either in one of our churches, or at the local Crematorium or Cemetery. (The Parish of Morden consists of most of Morden, and some of North Sutton – see the map below or click this link for more info)

We will visit you beforehand to make arrangements, and be available by phone and email to keep you up-to-date. On the day we will endeavour to lead a dignified service with thanksgiving, comfort and prayer, using the well-loved Church of England order of service. We can also arrange to meet you after the service, if that would be helpful.

If you would like a Church minister to take the funeral service, you need to ask your Funeral Directors or Undertakers for this specifically – sometimes it won’t be offered. Just say you’d like a minister from the Church of England Parish of Morden to take the funeral, and give the Funeral Director our administrator’s phone number (), or the Team Rector’s mobile ().

Some people find it very helpful to meet with a minister to talk about death and dying, and we would happy to help you with this – do get in touch.

In 2024 our fee for taking a service at a Crematorium is £240.00, and for a service in church followed by a burial at a Cemetery or committal at a Crematorium £274.00. An organist in church costs an extra £150, but we can provide recorded music, and in some of our churches a livestream at no extra cost.
